A helmet specifically designed for skateboarding is hard to find! And when we say specific we mean it meets the CE-1078 certification for skateboard helmet safety (and CPSC Bike standard). If you compare a typical skate helmet to a certified helmet, you'll notice vastly different foams - skate helmets use soft foams that can compress, meaning that with enough force your dome can still hit the ground. With certified helmets, the foam is rigid and fractures - this fracturing absorbs the impact and keeps your head off the pavement.
