The Dinghy Blunt is a new cruiser shape in the lineup and we're stoked on it. This shape has a little extra width where you need it and a good amount of taper to allow for a more directional feel. Matched up with slightly wider trucks, this shape is great for riders with bigger feet or anyone looking for a little more stability and confidence out of their cruiser board.

100% Canadian Maple

Canadian Maple is a strong and proven material used in the world’s best skateboards. We source only the finest veneers found in Eastern Canada.

EMBOSSED

Extra layers of ink raise the printing surface and provides a tactile experience. Something to run your hand over while planning your next ride.

Kicktail

Take your skating into the third dimension with a kicktail. We design our kicktails to work perfectly with each deck shape as well as with the truck and wheel setup on each complete.

LOW CAVE

Mellow concave that barely feels like it’s there, but designed to give you the control you need, when you need it.

Fenders

Also known as pressed wheel wells, flares are part of the board shape. The resulting bumps in the concave on top allow for larger wheels, looser trucks, and provide better control and more precise foot placement.

The Dinghy Blunt is a small cruiser board that comes in at 28.5" long and 8.6 wide. The extra width up front and significant taper means you get more leverage over the front truck than the rear one, which gives it more directional steering characteristics and a bit more stability than the classic Dinghy shape. The Fender version has flares pressed over the wheel wells allowing us to do away with the riser pads and offer a lower ride height for comfortable pushing. The Dinghy Blunt is pressed with 7 plies of Canadian maple for a light, stiff and poppy ride and comes set up with Polar Bear 130mm trucks to match the width of the deck. 63mm 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels finish off the setup and ensure you’ll have a smooth ride with plenty of roll speed and grip without having to worry about wheelbite.

I decided to start skateboarding because I wanted an alternative mode of transportation for local errands. I haven’t gotten quite comfortable enough for those errands but I do feel comfortable on the board and I definitely think it was the right design choice for me. I also think the cat is adorable on the board and I love showing it off!

Dinghy Skeleton

This is my first complete from Landyachtz. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my new complete as I had been searching for a new compact cruiser. When I hit the streets for the first time I was immediately amazed by how agile, quiet, smooth and fast this set up is. The trucks have awesome carving ability and the wheels hold up to crappy roads I live around. This deck is small and for me being 5'9" and 160 pounds it works great, but for anyone bigger I would recommend going for the Blunt, Dugout, or Tugboat shapes as they offer more board to stand on. My friends were convinced and purchased landyachtz set ups for themselves and I purchased my dad the dugout skeleton. Awesome company and they also make great YouTube videos!

great board

It's a shame to cover up the image on the top of the desk so I cut out an "LY" in the landyachtz style on top
