Great gloves.

This was my first pair of gloves and I’m still learning how to use them, but they are very comfortable and I can wear them all day skating. Thanks

High Quality

Gloves are super sturdy, and the slide pucks stay on during long slides!

These fit!

Look I’m a giant and slide gloves don’t fit me most of the time. XL? XXL? Lies. These ones got it going for me and also look sweet. I’ll be buying more.

(Almost) perfect

Note: This review applies to all the 2022 LandYachtz slide gloves except the leather race gloves, which use a different design.

Got these gloves primarily as protective equipment in order to learn stand-up slides (= power slides in street skateboarding terminology).

Sturdy construction, but if you’re new to slide gloves, really have to make a religious, conscious effort to the best of your ability to avoid accidentally contacting the ground with any part of the gloves other than the pucks to prevent rapid wear and tear.

The two biggest design flaws are (0.) the inner stitch at the tips of your fingers are precisely positioned to tear your fingernails off if you inadvertently break your fall with your fingers hitting the ground at just the right angle; this can be partially mitigated by keeping your fingernails clipped short and filed smooth; and (1.) the stitch attaching the wrist strap to the glove is a weak point. Apart from that these gloves are just perfect & all in all I’m hecka happy with them 👍

Finally, a couple pro tips to save yourself some grief — (0.) avoid laundering with clothes that give off a lot of lint or fraying threads to keep the velcro clean and crisp; and (1.) whatever size you think you need, go one size higher; your sweaty hands will thank you on hot summer days :)
