Working at Landyachtz is a unique experience. From the character of our main office, to the people you work with, and the products you get to play with. Working here is more than your average job. Our product design process is collaborative, regardless of your official position, if you have a cool idea or feedback for something, your input will always be valued. We routinely organize after work skate sessions and bike rides; it’s common for someone to walk through the office a few hours before the end of the day recruiting people to come out and ride. In the winter we hold Mountain Mondays every week. As soon as Cypress mountain opens, we drive the van up to snowskate, snowboard, and ski after work every Monday night.

On Fridays we end the week by enjoying each other’s company over beers, skate sessions out front, and ping pong on our lunchroom table. Every quarter, the entire company gets together for a day of activities on our Staff Appreciation days. Our annual staff Christmas parties have become the stuff of legends. Landyachtz is adding to it’s marketing team. We’re looking for a Vancouver based individual that’s interested in Skateboarding, Cycling, Videography, Social Media and Marketing. You will work with our in house marketing department developing, creating and implementing a wide range of content and campaigns.  


marketing & media assistant  - role summary





With general direction, the Marketing Department team member will be involved in all aspects of Landyachtz and related brands marketing efforts. This role will focus on social media, video editing and related support to the Videographer including editing and cataloguing footage and participating on select shoots as camera operator or photographer.  They will assist in campaign development, developing and running contests, curating, and delivering quality and quantity website and social media content, and interacting with followers daily. They translate marketing plans into social media content and are fluent in the language and culture of the industry. This position is skilled in social media account management techniques and adept at using scheduling programs to administer multiple accounts. They use technology and internal/external programs to extract reports and report out to Management regularly. In addition, They actively participate in creating and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for themselves and others.  



Works alongside the Videographer to log, edit, and organize footage from shoots, trips and various social media content sources. As required, backs-up Camera1 and is Camera2 on select video shoots Maintain organized and secure hard drives and files, as well as coordinate equipment, bookings and rentals for video shoots and trips.


  1. Assist with managing and maintaining social media calendar and accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok etc.) for Landyachtz and related brands.
  2. Assist in event planning and execution
  3. Works on product release campaigns for skateboards, bikes and all related accessories.  
  4. Assess and build relationships with Influencers; explore collaboration opportunities (bands, athletes, artists, other brands)
  5. Collaborate with the Marketing team on campaigns to translate and re-frame for social success
  6. Communicate and engage with our Followers, daily; maintain DMs, commenting and interacting on posts
  7. Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content by providing monthly reports for each channel or campaign
  8. May assist from time to time with sourcing media from team riders globally, and participate in social advertising strategy.



  • Shows an interest in skateboarding and understand the culture, language and identity of the industry  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Takes direction well and able to assist in multiple ongoing video projects 

  • Well organized and can balance deadlines and workload effectively  



  • Proficiency in Adobe suite 

  • Experience filming and editing video content.  

  • High School diploma / GED 

  • Familiar with and comfortable with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok and can seamlessly navigate all features of each platform with confidence 

  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite  

  • Familiar with Shopify Plus, Shogun, Facebook business manager, Google ads manager  

  • Experience using social media to drive sales 

  • Familiar with scheduling tools (Later) 

  • Well-developed content creation skills; knows what works/doesn’t for each channel
